Teapots bring so many pottery skills together in one form, making them both challenging and rewarding to create. In this course, you’ll learn how to throw, trim, assemble, and glaze a functional teapot from start to finish.
We’ll begin by throwing the teapot body, shaping a belly, and creating a gallery for the lid. From there, you’ll learn how to trim a lightweight form, make a foot ring, throw off the hump, and create the smaller parts that make a teapot work well, including the lid, spout, and handles.
You’ll also learn how to attach each piece with care, explore different handle styles, and use dipping glazes to finish your teapot.
