These videos follow the same progression I have used with my in-studio students, so each course builds naturally on the last and helps you grow with confidence. You do not have to take them in order, but following the sequence can make learning feel more natural.

Getting Started at the Wheel

Throw bowls with a continuous curve, create wide altered rims, and add drainage holes to your bowl.

Throw narrow cylinders, shape a strong belly, and pull handles that feel good in your hand.

Join two thrown forms to create a larger vase and double the size of the pots you can make.

Make lids that fit as you learn to create a bellied pot with a split rim gallery and a flange on a cylinder with strong angles

Throw angled and bellied forms while learning to collar clay and create a smaller opening.

Throw tall cylinders, and lean to collar several different neck styles.

What skill level are these courses designed for?

The courses include options for beginner, intermediate, and more experienced potters. Each course page explains the skills covered and the recommended experience level. Brand-new potters may want to begin with Getting Started at the Wheel before moving into the project-based courses.

Are past courses available with a membership?

Yes, your membership will include current and past prerecorded courses in addition to recorded live classes. Essentially all content on the catalog can be enjoyed with a active membership.

Do I have to be available at a specific time to watch a class?

No, you can watch and re-watch at your own pace. We do have live class offerings that you can participate in, but even those are recorded for those who can't make it or want to remember something that was taught in the live class.

Can I download videos to save them to my device?
