If you are new to Twisted Clay Online, the Catalog is the best place to find past, present, and future pottery lessons.

Just swipe left to see previous lessons. After the current project ends, you can find the complete project lessons in our Catalog.


  • Access Past Projects Anytime
    Want to do something different? Previous Project Courses, recorded Live Classes, and quick skill building Short Tutorials are other categories in our Catalog.


  • The Next Project
    When one project wraps up, it moves to its new home in the Catalog as a past project— and a new project takes its place as the Current Project!


  • Project Lengths Vary
    Some projects last 5 to 6 weeks, others just one or two. This variety lets us explore everything from focusing on one single skill to more intricate projects. There will also be Live Classes and Q&As to answer questions in real time.

What is included in a membership?

What do I get with a Twisted Clay Online membership?

Membership includes access to our entire catalog of lessons - all of Ruthie's projects, tutorials, live classes, and courses. New lessons are introduced weekly. You can join the Current Project to collaborate with other Twisted Clay Online members as you work on the same goals, or strike off on your own to tackle a full-length Project Courses, work on a Studio Skill, or tackle a Short Tutorial. Lessons are recorded with multiple camera angles and close-ups that let you learn what you need to be successful. Ruthie includes Troubleshoot lessons that address common problems students face and hosts regular Live Classes and Q&As to answer your questions.


Membership means you can access all these lessons anytime, on your own schedule, to learn at your own pace. No ads to interrupt your viewing or searching in vain on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok for a lesson you remember. Mark your favorites to create your own personal library. Your watch history lets you pick up right where you left off. Make access even easier by downloading our Twisted Clay App, available in the Apple Play Store and on Google Play! You'll be able to create your own play list, and save videos for off-line playback, so you can watch later without an internet connection.


I'm a beginner. Will I be able to learn?

Yes! There are lots of projects for beginners and a Beginner Help Library of tips and troubleshooting. Ruthie is introducing a series of "Getting Started as a Potter" lessons to do just that (coming Summer 2026). If you're ready to jump into a project, check out the Beginner Track that lists a progression of projects to help you build your skills. When Ruthie starts a more advanced project, she'll also share step-down projects and options to meet you at your skill level.


I'm an experienced potter and already know how to throw. What can you offer me?

Project Courses includes intermediate and advanced projects so you can continue to grow as a potter. There are also Studio Skills courses that help you create and manage your studio. Don't forget the troubleshooting tips and Short Tutorials that can help you work out recurring problems or just expose you to another method to explore. There's also an Intermediate Track where Ruthie has listed a progression of more advanced projects that continue to grow your skills.


Is this the same as being a member of the Twisted Clay Studio, located in Grapevine, Texas?

No, Twisted Clay Online is a separate membership that allows Ruthie to bring her successful in-studio curriculum to students everywhere here in her online studio. 

How does the free trial work?

Will I be charged during my trial?

No, you’ll only be charged when the trial ends and you move to a paid membership.

How do I watch lessons and how often are they available?

How do I access Twisted Clay Online's catalog of lessons?

Once you log in, the Learning Catalog lets you browse all our lessons and projects. The Help Center page has videos and descriptions that walk through how everything is organized and how to navigate. We share new lessons and goals weekly for the current project. Here’s how it works:

Can I download videos to save them to my device?

If you’re using our Twisted Clay app, available on both iOS and Android, you can save videos in app for offline playback so you can watch later without an internet connection. You cannot download videos to your device directly from the website. Download the Twisted Clay app here.

How do I manage my membership and billing?

How does Twisted Clay Online billing work?

Your membership begins with a risk-free free trial. If you keep your membership after the trial, your payment is charged upfront at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annually).


How do I change my membership plan or update my billing information?

Sign in and click Profile (top right), then select Purchases.

  • To change your plan: click Manage Plan under Membership. Then select Purchases and follow the prompts.

  • To update billing: click Change Payment Method under Payment Method and enter your new details.

When will my account be charged?

We charge at the beginning of each billing cycle (monthly or annually). That payment covers your access for the full upcoming period.


Why is my credit card being declined?

Some cards have online purchase restrictions or don’t allow recurring subscription billing. If your card is declined, we recommend contacting your card company to approve the charge and confirm recurring payments are allowed.


I can't seem to manage my billing and membership on your website. What's going on?

Apple In-App Purchases:

Did you purchase your membership in-app via the App Store? You can view subscription details on your account, but changes and cancellations must be made directly through the App Store where the purchase was made. App Store subscriptions are managed by Apple, so we don’t have access to your billing information or the ability to make changes or cancellations on your behalf.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes! You can cancel whenever you’d like. You’ll keep full access until your current paid period ends, and you won’t be charged again after that.


How do I cancel or end my membership?

Log into your account, click Profile (top right), then select Purchases. Click End Membership to cancel.


To manage your membership, go to My Account from the menu bar or click on your Profile in the top right corner. From there, select Purchases. Next to your Membership, click the Manage dropdown and select End Membership.


What happens after I cancel?

Your membership stays active until the end of your current trial or paid period. After that date, your membership ends and you won’t be charged again.


Can I get a refund for my current month (or year) when I cancel?

We don’t offer refunds for the current billing period once payment has been processed. The free trial is designed to give you time to explore and make sure it’s the right fit. You’ll still keep access through the end of that paid period until your cancellation becomes effective.

Account Access and Password Help

How do I access my account?

There are multiple ways to sign in! If you are signing in from the website:

  1. Click Sign In at the top right of the page and enter your email address and password.

  2. Make it easy, and use our password-free sign-in option!

    You can request a sign-in link sent to your email so you can log in without needing your password.

  3. Skip the website and download our Twisted Clay app, available both on iOS and Android. You will login using the same login email and password and can set it to automatically sign in for you next time.

How do I reset my password?

On the Sign In page, click Sign in with password, then choose Set new password. Enter the email associated with your account and click Send Instructions. Follow the email link to reset your password.

Tip: If you’d rather not reset your password, use the Password-Free Sign-In link instead.


Can I create multiple accounts with the same email address?

No, each email address can only be connected to one account. If you think you already have an account, use Forgot Password or the Password-Free Sign-In link.

Gift Subscriptions

How do I purchase a gift subscription?

Scroll to the bottom of any page and click Buy a Gift Card in the footer. Log in (or create an account), choose the subscription or bundle you’d like to gift, select the duration, and complete your purchase. You’ll receive a confirmation email with the gift code and a shareable link.


How do I redeem a gift subscription?

Use the link shared by the gift sender. Clicking it will apply the gift to your account automatically. If you don’t have an account yet, you’ll be prompted to create one.
